Takedown

c) Control Advantages

Using the Fawcett Wrench (with the added control of the shoulder bridge) keeps you on your feet and in a position of stability without tripping over his feet (which is useful in confined spaces).

It is a constant, compelling, pain-compliance technique that offers continuous control.

The Fawcett Wrench can be used at any stage of handcuffing (and even after handcuffing if care is taken with his head due to his inability to break his fall with his hands in cuffs).

The resultant prone takedown easily transitions into the prone handcuffing position.

PRO TIP: it should be noted that all Police Judo takedowns keep you on your feet and feed into the prone handcuffing position.
