Empowering Youth Through Hands-On Projects
From building a rugged Baja Bug to organzing bottle drives and crafting int the woodshop, our projects inspire creativity, teamwork, and real-world skills. Each initiative reflects our commitment to youth development and community impact.
BAJA BUG

Odd Squad’s youth team is restoring a 1972 VW Baja Bug—This hands-on project teaches mechanical skills, teamwork, and leadership.
The rebuilt Baja Bug will support youth in outdoor adventures across BC, including Duke of Edinburgh expeditions. Progress will be featured on the OSP YouTube How-To Channel.
BOTTLE DRIVE

As part of our commitment to youth development and community engagement, Odd Squad runs a youth-led bottle drive program. This ongoing initiative teaches responsibility, teamwork, and fundraising skills while encouraging environmental stewardship. Funds raised support various youth projects and programs, including hands-on learning, outdoor expeditions, and skill-building activities.
WOODWORK

Our woodworking program gives youth the chance to build practical skills through hands-on projects—from chopping and preparing wood to crafting planters, benches, and other useful items. Guided by experienced mentors, these activities promote confidence, creativity, and a strong work ethic. Youth learn the value of hard work, safety, and craftsmanship while creating something they can be proud of.
YOUTH PROJECTS

At Odd Squad, our senior members play a vital role in guiding youth through a wide range of hands-on projects. From vehicle restorations and woodworking to bottle drives and outdoor expeditions, these initiatives are designed to teach valuable life skills, foster leadership, and build confidence. With mentorship at the core, youth are empowered to take initiative, work as a team, and make a positive impact in their communities.
